28.10.2008 Scorpion Vision Software® has from version 6.0 complete support of the next generation of easy to install Sony Smart cameras.

The new generation is enhanced with usb2, GigE, better io, high resolution graphics, colour versions and faster processors.

 

The embedded intelligence and versatile interfaces for ‘PC-free’ processing create a new range of application in industrial environments. Tordivel delivers the Sony Smart Cameras with a preinstalled version of Scorpion Vision Software® running Windows XP embedded, thus minimizing the deployment cost.

 

Scorpion Vision Software® supports English, German and Norwegian user interfaces. The vision applications are developed on the Smart Camera or offline on a separate PC with the Scorpion Maintenance software. Tordivel looks forward to exploit the Smart Cameras in 2D and 3D robot vision and other areas where a small form-factor is important.”
