16.10.2008 Scorpion Vision Software® 7.0 improves the support of AVT’s Firewire cameras and Prosilica’s fine range of GigE cameras 

 

GigE has changed the way we use cameras in Machine Vision Systems and opened new application areas. Scorpion Vision Software® and Prosilica cameras make a brilliant platform for taking advantage of this industry shift based on Ethernet connectivity.

 

The Scorpion Vision Server™ runs tens of vision sensor tasks or up to four demanding machine vision applications on one industrial server.

 

The hardware platform for a Scorpion Vision Server™ is GigE cameras, OPC, TCP/IP, Profibus, Quad Core Processors, Hot Swap Redundant Disk and Industrial Ethernet Technology.

 

Wireless robot vision systems are made combining Prosilica GigE cameras and Scorpion Vision Software®. One Scorpion Vision Server™ can run multiple 3D robot vision systems on one computer.

 

Scorpion Vision Software® supports the Allied Vision Technologies family of Firewire cameras; Guppy, Marlin, Dolphin, Pike, Oscar and Stingray, as well as Prosilica’s huge range of GigE cameras. Together they cover almost every machine vision situation.

 

Prosilica is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allied Vision Technologies GmbH.
