Tordivel Solar

 

Tordivel AS has delivered automatic inspection systems to RecWafer since 2001. The systems are based on Tordivel’s open software platform Scorpion Vision Software®.

 

Tordivel has developed a unique concept for optical measurement of wafer thickness and sawmarks through deliveries and in cooperation with RecWafer. Tordivel has in understanding with RecWafer a patent pending on the technology.

 

An instrument based on the measurement technique is now being tested at several important customers in the solar industry.

 

Tordivel Solar, a spin-off from Tordivel, has technological platform and financial strength to become a global leader through strong focus on development, service and sales of optical measurement systems to the solar industry.

 

Tordivel Solar shall continuously develop standard products for automatic production control of wafers, blocks and solar cells based on Scorpion Vision Software®.

 

Tordivel is managing two large international research projects for development of 3D machine vision.

 

Scorpion 6.0 released December 10, 2007, is the first configurable system for 3D machine vision.

 

The interest for 3D measurement and 3D robot vision bin picking is growing. Tordivel has already sold systems to the automotive- and solar industries based on the 3D capabilities of Scorpion 6.0

 

Tordivel will be the technological partner for Tordivel Solar and be responsible for further development of Scorpion Vision Software and new 2D and 3D measurement systems for the solar industry.
